Mikki lives on a small farm in Ohio with her husband of over 30 years, four llamas, six cats and a dog.  After working as an illustrator and toy designer for over 20 years, Mikki retired to follow other interests.  Her wish to create soft sculptured animals led to the discovery of felting.  Mikki's sculpting and art background allow her to give each creation its own personality.  She feels that animals are little people in fur coats.

N.B.  Felting is an age old folk craft where, using only un-carded wools and special, very sharp barbed needles, it is possible to create wonderful soft sculptured figures.  The use of patterns is almost unheard of and all you really need is to let your imagination run riot and allow your hands to work in harmony with the wool.
