A Steiff teddy bear from the 1980's - 12" high, cocoa brown mohair, ultrasuede pads, button in ear but the label is missing.  This bear, along with many others in this auction was donated by A. D. from her mother's estate.  They enjoyed collecting bears together for more than 20 years and in one of the letters that accompanied the donated bears, A. D. wrote the following:

"There's a Steiff bear (brown) with a button in his ear but no tag.  When we started buying bears we knew nothing about them.  If we saw a bear looking at us we'd give it a home.  Some were really cheap, others very expensive for us.  My mother actually tried to remove the button, I also tried unsuccessfully.  Mum phoned the bear department at Rackhams and asked how to get it off!  It may affect the price unless someone like us comes along.  He needs loving just as much".

Payment for your auction can be made by personal cheque, international money order in pounds sterling, cash in a special delivery envelope (UK only), direct bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Switch, Visa Connect, Solo.  For payments by American Express there will be a 2.95% surcharge and for credit cards there will be a 1.5% surcharge.  For payments by debit card there will be a £0.40 surcharge.

Abracadabra will allow a successful auction bid to be paid over 3 monthly instalments without interest but you must advise us of this when placing your bid.
