Cocklyn is an adorable 6" teddy bear dressed in the style of a pirate.  Cocklyn was made in 1996 as part of an edition for a UK teddy bear shop.  He is made from sparse "old" gold mohair with fabric paw and foot pads.  He has one brown and black glass eye and an eye patch.  Cocklyn has the authentic appearance of an old, well-loved bear with distressed mohair and pads, sparse and worn embroidery and loosely jointed limbs.  He is stuffed with fine wood shavings making him heavy and tactile.  His pirate pants are made from coffee coloured silk with an aqua blue sash and his head scarf is orange satin.  Forget Me Not Bears by Mary, Alice and Joy are always popular but bears made by sister Liz, who has now retired from bear making, are still very sought after.  Price GBP225 - (postal costs: UK GBP7, Europe GBP12.75, elsewhere GBP13) -  SORRY, COCKLYN HAS BEEN ADOPTED.
